History

  1. 1946 The Bank of Taiwan starts issuing Taiwan dollars on 22 May to replace the Taiwanese yen.
  2. 1949 On 15 June a currency reform introduces the New Taiwan dollar at one new dollar for 40,000 old Taiwan dollars after severe inflation.
